New Initiative Funded through NYSERDA Grant and in Partnership with Livingston Energy Group
Loch Sheldrake, NY鈥� As part of the College鈥檚 master plan and longstanding sustainability mission, 17c起草视频 announces the installation of four dual-port electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on campus. Funded through a New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Charge Ready NY grant and in cooperation with Livingston Energy Group, the four dual-port charging stations, each of which allows two cars to charge simultaneously, represent a substantial addition to the College鈥檚 green infrastructure and commitment to supporting sustainability on campus and in the community.

17c起草视频 Sustainability Coordinator Larry Reeger said the College鈥檚 2019 master plan identified electric vehicle charging as a green infrastructure opportunity, and that the new stations support the 17c起草视频鈥檚 commitment, through the University Global Coalition, to incorporate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into the College鈥檚 teaching, research, operations, and partnerships.
鈥淭he new EV chargers will support the needs of our students and staff and are part of the College鈥檚 effort to infuse sustainability into campus life,鈥� said Reeger.
The Level 2 EV charging stations are located in Parking Lot 2 in front of the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse and are available to students, faculty, and staff, as well as the greater community. There is a $0.25/kWh fee to use the stations, the revenue from which will be shared by 17c起草视频 and Livingston, which financed 10 percent of the project.
The charging stations are operated using the Charge Port EV Charging mobile app, which is available on Android and Apple devices, and can be downloaded through , , Livingston鈥檚 website at , or by scanning a QR code at the station. After creating a free account, electric vehicle drivers can access the location, select the station number, and start charging. Livingston Energy Group also offers 24/7 support through the mobile app or by calling 1-844-623-1001.
