17cÆð²ÝÊÓÆµ is an open-access community college and the only institution of higher education in Sullivan County. We are a forward-looking, student-centered SUNY campus offering more than 40 degree programs, certificates, and micro-credentials—supporting learners at every stage of their educational journey.
We value critical inquiry and creativity, and we support our students in a culture of inclusion, respect, and opportunity.
Our Campus
Set on a beautiful 405-acre campus designed by the renowned New York firm Edward Durell Stone and Associates, 17cÆð²ÝÊÓÆµ blends modern learning spaces with a deep commitment to sustainability and hands-on education.
Campus features include:
- Classrooms, labs, and collaborative learning spaces
- A 275-seat theater
- A 30,000-square-foot gymnasium
- Residential housing for 45 students
- An organic farm and apiary
- Geothermal heating and cooling
- A solar farm and wind turbine

17cÆð²ÝÊÓÆµâ€™s current mission statement was developed through a collaborative campus-wide process and announced in 2023.

Strategic Planning: 2026–2030
In fall 2025, 17cÆð²ÝÊÓÆµ announced the re-opening of its strategic planning process. The Board of Trustees and college leadership determined that changing conditions—both at the college and across Sullivan County—present a meaningful opportunity to shape 17cÆð²ÝÊÓÆµâ€™s future with clarity and purpose. The 2026–2030 17cÆð²ÝÊÓÆµ Strategic Plan will:
- Strengthen the college’s commitment to fiscal health and long-term stability
- Expand and update strategies to grow enrollment and increase student success
- Review and refine the college’s nursing focus to include additional programs and areas of opportunity
- Review and affirm the college’s core values
- Review and update the college’s vision statement
