Nursing Program Students

Admission to the Nursing Associate鈥檚 degree program at 17c起草视频 is a competitive and time-sensitive process.

In order to be considered for admission to this program, prospective students (including direct applicants from high school) must meet all of the following requirements prior to beginning their nursing studies:

1. College Application: Applicants who are not currently enrolled at 17c起草视频 must first complete a free admissions application to the college. to apply.

2. Submit Transcript(s): Applicants must request that official transcripts be sent to admissions@sunysullivan.edu:

  • High school (if no college degree)
  • GED recipients must email a photo of the certificate and transcript
  • College(s) (if applicable) A separate transcript is required for each college attended.
  • Unofficial transcripts showing required courses currently in progress at another college(s) (if applicable)

Decisions will be based upon the documents received at the time this application is submitted. All transcripts must be emailed to admissions@sunysullivan.edu.

Note: Science courses older than 7 years may need faculty review.

3. Placement Exam: Take the nursing placement exam & submit scores (up to 2 attempts per cycle)

4. Nursing Program Application: Submit the Nursing Program application by the following dates:

  • March 1 for Fall
  • October 1 for Spring

5. Minimum Requirements:

  • GPA: High School Average is 85+ OR College GPA (of courses that apply to the Nursing degree) is 2.5 or higher
  • English (one of the following):
    • 11th-grade English grade of 85+
    • English (ELA) Regents score of 85+
    • GED score of 175+
    • ACT English score of 17 or higher
    • SAT English score of 480 or higher
    • College-level English course with a grade of "C" or higher
  • Math (one of the following):
    • Math Regents score of 75+
    • High school Math class with a grade of 75+
    • ACT Math 17+ / SAT Math 450+
    • Math GED score 165+
    • College-level math course (C or higher)
  • Biology (one of the following):
    • AP Biology (4 or higher)
    • SCI 1124 Principles of Biology or equivalent transfer course (C or higher)
    • SCI 2124 A&P I and SCI 2113 Microbiology or equivalent transfer courses (C or higher)
    • High School Students only:
      • HS Living Environment Regents 80+
      • HS Biology final grade 85+ (if no Regents exam)

Important: Applications or TEAS scores received after the deadline will not be considered. Incomplete applications will not receive a decision letter.

State University of New York (SUNY) policy prohibits 17c起草视频's admission applications from inquiring into an applicant鈥檚 prior criminal history. After acceptance, the College shall inquire if the student previously has been convicted of a felony if such individual seeks campus housing or participation in clinical or field experiences, internships (where a criminal history background check is required) or study abroad programs. The information required to be disclosed under SUNY policy regarding such felony convictions shall be reviewed by a standing campus committee consistent with the legal standards articulated in New York State Corrections Law, and other applicable law. Students who have previously been convicted of a felony are advised that their prior criminal history may impede their ability to complete the requirements of certain academic programs and/or to meet licensure requirements for certain professions. Students who have concerns about such matters are advised to contact the dean's office of their intended academic program.
